News – EuroCircle celebrates its 15th anniversary in New York
EuroCircle, the community for the Europeans who live abroad, celebrated the beginning of 2014 and its 15th anniversary with a glamorous event at The Netherland Club in New York City.
EuroCircle was established in Jan 1999 in NYC by a Finnish lawyer. The site is free for all its tens of thousands of members who are mainly European professionals and people interested in Europe. All activities around the world are run by volunteers.
The organization reaches about 20,000 professionals via its network in NYC area. The other cities in the USA where it is very active include Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Atlanta. EuroCircle has 100,000 + members worldwide.
At the event there was live entertainment including DJ Max Layn, Finnish singer-songwriter Paula Jaakkola, Dancer Inka Juslin and a dance demonstration by Benito Garcia. In addition there were hot and cold hor d’oueveres served with wine and Tito’s handmade vodka.
Outside the anniversary event, there are events all around the city each month and a yearly EuroCircle trip – last year’s trip took some of our members to Vietnam and Cambodia. This fall the members are heading to India.
